Stawell Regional Health have completed a series of COVID-19 vaccinations as community members and staff members are inoculated under Phase 1b of the rollout.
Around 100 people were vaccinated on Wednesday with community members receiving their jab in the morning and staff completed in the afternoon.
Stawell Regional Health infection prevention and control coordinator Helen Kennedy, said the health service had been rolling out the vaccine steadily, with at least 112 jabs provided in the past week.
"We have worked hard at setting up our vaccination clinic and making sure that everything in the background has been put in place," she said.
"We have had to focus on administration, storage, quality control and staff training to ensure an ongoing smooth operation of our weekly clinic that will run on Wednesdays every week.
"We have capacity to vaccinate 80-100 individuals every week and this will be a mixture of staff and community members.
"We are hoping to do all 100 every week, but this, of course, all depends on receiving our supply quota of vaccination doses."
Ms Kennedy also said she anticipates the clinic would expand to operating on Monday and Wednesday of each week, as people receive their second dose from June 2021 onwards.
Last month 21 residents at the Macpherson Smith Residential Care facility received their first dose of the AstraZeneca vaccine, with their second doses scheduled for 12 weeks later.
"I want the community to be assured that Stawell Regional Health is working tirelessly towards making sure that Stawell residents have access to the services they need close to home," Ms Pryde said.
"People can register their interest on the Stawell Regional Health website and they will be contacted once vaccines are made available.
"It is vital that we all get vaccinated to ensure we protect our families, our friends and our community from the continued risk of contracting and becoming seriously ill from COVID-19."
