The reinstatement of the restrictions comes after a 26 year-old man from Melbourne tested positive on Wednesday, five days after he completed his last shift as a resident support officer at the Grand Hyatt hotel, as part of the Australian Open quarantine program.
That means for many Stawell businesses masks have returned.
Lillies and Latte's Café and Bar barista Andrea Clark said it was an 'amazing' few weeks to be able to work mask-free.
"That was amazing, to get back to normal and be able to breathe without the masks," she said.

Now her, and her team, will need to be wearing a mask at all times.
"I actually found out from a customer this morning, so I rushed to get a mask," she said.
"We are going back to not being able to breathe properly, not being able to hear properly so it's hard.
"Trying to hear people and get orders right and when you are in a rush it can get quite hot and you have to move the mask around a bit so you can breathe.
"There's not much we can do, but when it gets hot I might sneak into the cool room more often."
While masks will be a challenge for the hospitality industry, Haircutters Workshop hairdresser Courtney Morrow said she is now used to working with one on.

"Before these changes clients didn't have to wear masks, but it was recommended that hairdressers do because we deal with so many different people," she said.
"For me I feel much safer wearing it because we are dealing with lots of people daily and it's a job you can't social distance.
"It keeps me safe and keeps my clients safe and most of my clients have been wearing them when they come in because it makes them feel safer too.
Hairdressers and clients are now required to masks inside, but before it was recommended just hairdressers wore one.
As a result the Haircutters Workshop won't be able to do beard trimmings and other facial jobs.
The changes to Victorian COVID-19 restrictions also include limiting gatherings at homes to 15 people and plans to increase return-to-the-office numbers next Monday have been delayed.
