On August 25, the seven-day operation began, with several penalty infringement notices issued.

Acting Senior Sergeant Eddie Malpas confirmed seven penalty infringement notices were issued in relation to a number of offences, including three drivers who were observed using their mobile phones whilst driving.
He also confirmed one driver was intercepted during the day who returned a positive breath test, resulting in their vehicle being impounded for 30 days and their licence being immediately suspended.
