Building on the recent announcement of a $640,000 upgrade to Telstra's mobile site in Halls Gap East, a new $770,000 upgrade will see Telstra's site at Halls Gap upgraded to add more 4G capacity and 5G.
Telstra Acting Regional General Manager Marcus Swinburne said the improvements will help secure the network during busy periods and in case of emergency situations.
"We'll add significant capacity, extra 4G and new 5G mobile coverage, to help keep the community of Halls Gap connected and to operate businesses effectively during times of peak tourism demand," he said.

"We know better than anyone the challenges involved in connecting regional and remote communities. It's partnerships like this and the significant investments we're making in regional areas that will help all Australians participate fully in the digital economy.
