As local vaccination ambassadors for the State Government's COVID-19 response, Grampians Community Health is encouraging everyone in the community to get vaccinated as soon as they are eligible and supplies are available.
The organisation is also taking support into local communities, continuing the High-Risk Accommodation Response to COVID program and continuing to offer a home isolation support service.
CEO Greg Little said the GCH "Stick it to COVID-19!" campaign aimed to increase the local uptake of vaccinations.
While regional vaccination centres are waiting for more Pfizer supply in the wake of changes to AstraZeneca recommendations, Mr Little said local people can trust the overwhelming scientific advice.
"The right thing for the community is to get vaccinated," he said.

"The risks from vaccination are far less than if you were to get COVID-19 and statistically less risky than being hurt in a car accident in the past twelve months."
Grampians Community Health is also supporting smaller communities and people in potentially high-risk accommodation settings such as caravan parks, public housing and supported residential services to stay safe and avoid COVID-19 risks.
This includes information packs on when, where and how people can be vaccinated.
OTHER NEWS:
The model for working with smaller communities put in place by Grampians Community Health has yielded great results and has been mirrored by other agencies across the state.
"It is based on getting out and meeting people in their homes and providing them with information and incentives to get vaccinated," Mr Little said.
Grampians Community Health also continues to operate a home isolation support service in the Northern Grampians Shire.
"For people at home waiting for test results or those, particularly older people, who don't want to go out because of the fear of contracting COVID-19, it's reassuring to know there is a service where we phone and check on them or they could phone us and ask for things to make their stay in isolation a little easier."
