Football and netball leagues from around the Wimmera have announced their plans for how and when postponed matches will be played.

In the WFNL, they have decided to shuffle their draw, meaning round seven will be played on Saturday June 5 with round eight pushed back to Saturday June 12 on the Queen's Birthday weekend, pending COVID-19 restrictions.
The Mininera and District football league and netball association have decided to replace round 16, due to be held on Saturday August 14, with the postponed round seven fixtures.
Round eight will go ahead as schedule, meaning the season will hold 15 rounds with byes on the Queen's Birthday weekend and Saturday July 3.
Finally, the HDFNL have decided to use the same format with round eight fixtures to remain on June 5 and round seven postponed until the Queen's Birthday weekend.
Clubs around the Wimmera said the postponed round seven games have not negatively effected at this stage, with the emphasis now on preparing to play.

Great Western senior assistant football coach Matt Delzotto said his side are hoping to be ready to go when sport returns.
"It is a bit of a 'take it as it comes' situation to be honest, it goes out of your control pretty quick," he said.
"The boys have got that two hours of exercise a day limit, so we want to make sure we are making the most of that and make sure everyone is coming back to the club, hopefully next Saturday, feeling pretty fit and ready to take the field.
"It is definitely not ideal, but again there is not much you can do about it, so we will back our players in to do the right things."

Club president Nats McRoberts said the club is handling the situation well and said patience is important.
"There wasn't any real issues in regards to that. All our suppliers are all sorted so there wasn't any real issues, it was all pretty quick, a quick call and it was all sorted," he said.
"Hopefully its not too long, our only concern is if the lockdown is finished next Friday then, not only us, but all clubs would not have had the opportunity to train through the week.
"We just have to be patient really and see what happens over the next week, that's all we can do."
