Stawell Fire Brigade fourth lieutenant and community engagement officer Aaron Croft said the brigade are looking forward completing their 50th year of collecting donations.
"We only just got approval to conduct the Good Friday Appeal last week," he said.
"It was pretty short notice we found out about the approval so we are trying to nut together a plan for our volunteers.
"What we will be doing is conducting Good Friday like we normally do with the trucks going around town, but with some limitations.

"Of course last year we couldn't do it, and so like last year, the virtual tin shake will be available."
Stawell Fire Brigade ex-captain Reg Smith, who has been involved with the brigade for 61 years, said he takes great pride in being involved with the Good Friday Appeal.
"So many members have had their kids spend time at the Royal Children's Hospital and I have had three myself," he said.
"The day is normally really busy. We are out collecting flat out and then we are inside counting flat out.
"I just enjoy collecting for the kids and hopefully seeing that we can make a difference for them."
OTHER NEWS:
Mr Croft said any Stawell residents who want to volunteer, need to register at the Stawell Fire Brigade station between 8am and 8:30am on Good Friday for COVID tracing purposes and to give their dietary requirements for the day.
At 8:45am there will be a briefing and from 9am the trucks will be on the streets.
Due to volunteer limitations the fire brigade will not be able to cover every street of Stawell, but Mr Croft said people should keep an eye out on their Facebook page to see their location, where people can then meet them and donate.
Mr Croft also said the brigade will be heading out to Halls Gap and Lake Fyans in the afternoon to get donations from tourists staying there for the Easter weekend.
