A man has been left with serious injuries after he was allegedly involved in a hit-run incident on Sunday night.

Stawell Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the alleged hit-run collision which occurred along Colquhoun Street about 7pm on Sunday.
Acting Senior Sergeant Eddie Malpas said a 45-year-old Stawell man was riding a motorised bike when he was allegedly struck from behind by a blue vehicle believed to be a coupe.

"The driver of the blue vehicle then allegedly ran over the male as he lay on the ground before speeding off and turning right onto Maud Street," he said.
"The victim was taken to hospital with serious injuries where he remains.
"Investigators are unsure of the exact circumstances of the incident and are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the incident, or who has dashcam or CCTV in the surrounding area that may have captured the blue vehicle at the time, to contact them."
