Men's state fours, state mixed pairs and ladies state fours were all battled out on the rinks.
Pam Weir, Maureen Petschel, Elaine Fuller and Debbie Lowe couldn't get their run on in the ladies state four event, eventually falling agonisingly short to Wendy Miles, Gwen Colwil, Bev Makin and Loma Wallis 9-18.
In the men's state fours event Stawell's Neil Coates, Gary Blackman, Andrew Sharp and Andrew Cray proved too good for Wedderburn's L Witham, N Holt, M Hall and A Cagerta.
The state mixed pairs delivered a few lopsided matches.
