Fantastic bowling was on show for the spectators sprinkled around the green - bowlers vying for their chance to represent the region at the next level.
Saturday delivered the women's champion of champion event, the men's state pairs and women's state triples.
Rainbow's Debbie Rowe went up against Joan Murnane, of Korong Vale on rink 13. Murnane couldn't hold off Rowe and fell short 12-26.
Serviceton's Loma Wallis was able to answer the tough challenge of taking on Angela Hodgetts at her home track and managed victory by two shots, 25-23.
The final between Lowe and Wallis saw Lowe take the title, 25-18.
OTHER NEWS:
Nothing could split Bill Rodgers and J Needs, of St Arnaud Country Club, and Horsham City's Ron Dolby and Daniel Gloury.
An extra end was needed which saw the St Arnaud team get up over the Horsham-based team.
Stawell's Andrew Sharp and Neil Coates were rolled out of the finals - succumbing to the precise bowling of Warracknabeal's Graeme Shalders and Rodney Sinclair, 11-19.
It was a tense final - Shalders and Sinclair taking home the trophy and the road to the next step 19-14.
In the women's state triples, Rhonda Wall, Joan Curnow and Karen Brennan were so close but fell agonisingly short by one shot against Thelma Boyd, Joyce Hollis and Margaret Kelly.
Boyd, Hollis and Kelly took on Isobel Davison, Debby Barling and Edna Anderson in the final after they defeated Mare Lehmann, Cheryl McDonald and Betty Cozens 17-12.
Boyd, Hollis and Kelly proved too strong for Davison, Barling and Anderson in the final, winning 21-8.
The bowling continues on Sunday.
