Among the new restrictions outdoor physical recreation, community sport and public gatherings have been closed for at least five days, with Victorian now only able to leave their home for two hours of exercise each day.
Stawell Golf Club was due to hold the second round of their Club Championships, but those plans have now been put of hold.
Stawell Golf Club president Steve Johnston said the club will hold a meeting in the next few days to determine the future of the tournament.
"Apart from being very disappointing we will have to adapt as we have done throughout the pandemic," he said.

"We will just adapt again and have to change our March program. I dare say we will have to pick another two rounds on Saturday sometime in March to complete the championships.
"I'm not sure we will take the gamble to have them on next Saturday, so we will probably not take that chance in case the restrictions are extended. We are coming into some beautiful autumn weather, and it certainly will be disappointing not to be able to play."
The Grampians Cricket Association will also be holding a meeting tonight to discuss how they will move forward with the season after this weekend's cancelled games.
Grampians Cricket Association secretary Nic Baird said the league has notified clubs and will be working through solutions in the coming days.
"Coming into the season we were aware something like this may happen, but we were hoping it wouldn't," he said.

"We have a meeting tonight at 7:30pm to work out how we roll with this moving forward.
"We are kind of in a bind in terms of an end date due to the Easter festivities in the region, so we want to be wrapped up prior to that.
Baird also said if the lockdown continued for longer than the planned five days, the league would need to look at "all the options" in regards to finishing the season.
"At the moment we have the plans in place for just the five days, but we will have plenty of answers if it is longer than the five days," he said.
Stawell Tennis Club also confirmed that due to the new restrictions no junior tennis or Hot Shots will take place tomorrow morning.
The club has also postponed the junior club championships and hopes to return to playing next week.
