Despite there are no restrictions on the reasons to leave home in regional Victoria, groups of up to only 10 people are able to meet outdoors.
Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews has hinted those restrictions could ease on Sunday, although regional Victoria has seen an increase in positive coronavirus cases.
The performing arts group would start preparing for carols in June of every year.

The event isn't funded by an organisation - solely resting on the shoulders of the group.
President Dianne Stewart said in 2020, she wanted the community to come forward with ideas for the event.
"As at current restrictions we are really limited with what we can do," she said.
"Under the restrictions, signing groups are not a reason to gather and schools have been notified school choirs are not to go ahead.
"This puts a really big hole in a possible program for the night. That's not to mention all of our programs haven't been running and we couldn't rehearse for the carols."
Ms Stewart said the group was "really eager" to put something together locally - what that looked like was an unknown.
OTHER NEWS:
"Our ability to put something on is really limited under the restrictions," she said.
"There aren't spaces to hire because indoor spaces aren't allowed. We are just focusing on the rules that we have right now and seeing what we can work with because everything changes so quickly."
Ms Stewart said it had been a difficult year for the arts group - many students and parents eager to see activities return.
"I have noticed some dance schools are able to hold outdoor classes," she said. "I haven't looked in just yet to see if it could be a possibility of us conducting some sessions outside for our young ones.
"It would be focused on movement, not singing or acting.
"There is a call for it to return, especially since now school is back parents are wondering if after school activities can return."
