Meech, who holds both jockey and trainer licences, rode four-year-old gelding Beeokay to victory at Warracknabeal on Saturday, a horse she trains.
It was just Meech’s second win as a trainer, having begun a new chapter of her illustrious racing career in September last year.

Meech also rode Beeokay for her first winner as a trainer in March this year at Swan Hill.
Meech’s split time between training and riding is having no effect on her jockey career, having made a very strong start to the season.
She has had six winners since Friday in a big weekend for the veteran. Meech is coming off a strong 2017-18 season where she was one of Victoria’s leading jockeys, narrowly falling short of winning the state jockey premiership.
