As part of a four-year sponsorship deal with the Warriors, the two teams will play for the Grampians Excavations Cup with $5000 heading to the winner of the clash.
Stawell president Tim Williams said it is a big deal for his club.
“We hope to turn the match into a tradition and this sponsorship adds a little bit more of an incentive into the match,” he said.
“We are very lucky to have them sign on as a major sponsor. It is nearly an unbelievable gesture.”
Grampians Excavations director Joe Bartolo said connections to both Stawell and Beulah drove the company to choose this match to sponsor.
“Obviously being a local business we are big supporters of the local community and it is great to give back to the community we are based in,” he said.
“One of our business partners has connections to Beulah so that’s how we came across choosing the match between Stawell and the Giants.
“It would be fantastic to see this become a bit of tradition. I’m sure it will be a great day.”
The Giants will be favourites to win the inaugural cup but come up against an in-form Warriors side desperate to keep their finals hopes alive.
