Ron Bailey has been involved with the Stawell Golf Club for more than 45 years of service and has been an important member of the Club's committee for many years.
Bailey stepped has played a big part in the revival of the Stawell Golf Club, something he said he was proud of.
"When I retired which was in 2006 I needed something to do," he said.
"And so I joined the committee because if you see something that needs doing then go and do it.
"I was part of the team that got the club out of the financial hole it was in.

"It didn't look good for some time and we formed a team and a basis and from there we fought hard and got there."
Bailey said he turned to golf because of the challenges the sport presents each and every time you are on the course.
"I have played tennis but I really enjoy golf," he said.
"It is probably the most challenging game I have played and I have played a lot of sports.
"It is the hardest one to play consistently well.

During his time with the Club, Bailey said he has held many different positions including, time as vice-president, secretary and treasurer.
At a time when communities are trying to rebuild after the challenges of COVID, he encouraged people to take the time and volunteer with an organisation that is important to them.
"In a committee it isn't always easy, but have some idea where you want to go," he said.
"The best message I can give is enjoy what you are doing.
"If you are on a committee or directing positions have a clear view of what you want and stick to it."
