A man has been remanded into custody after police executed a drug warrant at a Stawell address late in October, with a range of charges laid against him.

At around 10am on Wednesday October 28, 2021 Stawell Police, with assistance from Corrections Victoria K9 units, executed a search warrant.
The search warrant was completed under the Drugs, Poisons and Controlled Substances Act at a property in Robinson Street, Stawell.
Police allege during the search, heroin, cannabis, a homemade firearm and other prohibited items were located.

A 48-year-old male from Stawell was charged with a variety of alleged drug and weapon offences and subsequently remanded into custody.
Stawell Police Station Sergeant Eddie Malpas said the execution of the warrant came after information from the public.
"This is a great effort by our members, working together with Corrections Victoria to locate several prohibited items," he said.
