Mininera and District Netball Association president Amy Hurley believes it was "great to see" players back on the court in 2021 after the 2020 season cancellation.
Hurley said she was pleased with season 2021's junior numbers especially in the Under-13 age group which was quite a young competition.
"It's great, it means players are starting younger and will be hopefully hanging around and following through all of their junior netball with their respective clubs," she said.
"I see it as really promising because if those players stick around it means our Under-15s and Under-17s competitions will be filled in years to come."
Hurley believed the hurdles the league endured and overcame during the season illustrated what could be achieved.

"I think that we have really learnt to be adaptable, we can play without crowds and we can be resilient to see our season through," she said.
"Hopefully next year we can get a full season in with no interruptions, but we know we can do it."
A season highlight for Hurley was, despite the coronavirus interruptions, the league able to send away squad teams to the Ballarat Association Championships.
"Hopefully our squad teams can do more than one competition, but given the circumstances it was really positive," she said.
OTHER NEWS:
"Another highlight is being able to have trainings and games most weekends which we weren't able to do last year, and the social side has been a real positive."
Ararat Eagles A Grade side ended the home and away competition in tenth position with two wins and nine losses, after not being able to field a team in 2019.
The Eagles B Grade side claimed fourth spot, after finishing sixth in 2019 and the club's C Grade side finished in fifth.
Ararat's Under-18s team finished ninth with three wins, whereas the Under-15s were winless from 11 matches. The Eagles Under-13s finished eighth with four wins from 11 matches.
Ararat Eagles president Nats McRoberts credits recruiting Olivia West, who played over 200 A grade games for the Ararat Rats, to the club as a "drawcard" in attracting more players in season 2021.
"Recruiting Olivia West to come on board and coach A Grade was a drawcard for players for sure, we had an influx of younger players come through which helped out," McRoberts said.
"With two netball sides finishing in the top five (B and C Grade) from where we were in 2019, it's a pretty remarkable turnaround."
