First up, Andrew Bobbin started June strongly for our local Stawell trainers with Scottish Dancer winning over 1600 metres at Bendigo earlier in the month.
Bobbin also scored his first metropolitan winner as Scottish Dancer repeated its impressive run, again over the mile at Murray Bridge.
There were also winners in Ballarat, with Cracking Night saluting for Majella Ballentine over the 1400 metres.
There was also a placing for the Ballentine stable with two-year old first starter Silent Sermon racing well in Ballarat.
The Longerenong-based trainer has become a frequent visitor to the Stawell training centre, which is continuing to be set-up to attract other country trainers to the region.

The Dane Smith stable was also in the money in June with Fratello placing at Bendigo and Bless the Fleet coming home third in the Drought Breaker maiden during the Swan Hill carnival.
The Dane Smith stable had been setting their sights on a win for the consistent place getter, and after a strong run, they are hopeful the long-awaited win is just around the corner
Mark Pegus racing was also knocking on the winner's door with place-getters during June with Simon Says at Bendigo and Donald and Gold Logie at Ballarat. They're another Stawell stable who will be hoping a win will come their way soon.
OTHER NEWS:
Despite juggling motherhood, Stawell jockey Linda Meech returned to the saddle with success, making race riding look easy with three winners from nine rides, including claiming the winning the Apsley Cup at Edenhope Riding Club.
Later in the month, Meena also claimed wins at Donald riding for both the Maher-Eustace stable and aboard Nabbed at Ballarat for trainer's Tony and Calvin McEvoy.
The Stawell Racing Club also hosted Stawell jump-outs later in the month, which were a success with 85 horses attending, local trainers and outside trainers supported the club.
Trial vision can be found on Racing.com, with the club hoping to hold more jump outs in the future.
