Chrissy said she is still in a state of shock after her whirlwind wedding.
With a wedding date planned for Saturday, May 29 - the newly married Lawsons decided to bring their wedding forward.
"We knew lockdown were coming, we were planning for just Melbourne being shut down which would only have impacted us with our food vendor," she said.
"Then they announced the whole of Victoria."
"There was about five minutes of tears and meltdown and then pulled it together, and we asked ourselves, 'do we do it today? Do we see if we can get everyone together?'"
She said everyone was so supportive; the venue, the celebrant, even the DJ and photographer, was happy to accommodate the last-minute dash.
Chrissy said the only issue was with the food vendor, and she couldn't get her hair or makeup people.
"We just went to the pub afterwards," she said.
The wedding ended up with 30 people in attendance.
Chrissy said a couple of her bridesmaids and Daniel's groomsmen could not make it, but she said everyone was happy to drop what they were doing and get to the wedding.
"It was whoever could make it who wasn't too far away and could make it back before midnight," she said.
When the Victorian government announced the lockdown would commence from midnight, Mrs Lawson said the phone calls started both in and out.
"People were like 'let's do this, let's pull together'," Chrissy said.
The couple decided it was worthwhile rushing the wedding, rather than risk a lengthy postponement.
"We've made it this far, let's just go all in," Chrissy said.
Chrissy said the businesses they had hired were pleased to help out.
"If anything, they were all really supportive. It was really good to have those community people come together," she said.
Chrissy had been planning the wedding for 11 months since Daniel proposed on June 12, 2020, but has no regrets.
"We'll have the big party later," she said.
"I'm still spinning; I can't believe I'm a married woman.
"We're in our little love bubble at the moment."
