Four nights of movies under the stars will be on display from Thursday April 22 up to and including Sunday April 25, with the opening of a pop up cinema at Cato Park, Stawell.
The outdoor event has been modified to ensure everyone's safety with a cashless, card-only candy bar, pre-booked online ticketing only, disposable covers on all lounge bean beds, capped numbers per square metres, social distancing and sanitizer stations.
The pop up roadshow will feature movies, music and a bar for the adults and encourages family and friends to come along for a picnic prior to the movie screening with gates opening at 5.30pm and the movie starting at nightfall.
Cinema Pop Up Director Kate Hardwick said the company was looking forward to hosting the event in regional Victoria.
"During these challenging times, it's more important than ever to be with family and friends," she said.
"Having these magnificent partners on board together with support from council means we can offer an experience people can share in together in a safe environment."
Toyota Australia regional marketing manager Andre Palayan said Toyota was working closely with Stawell Toyota to bring the event to Stawell.
"We pride ourselves on supporting and bringing local communities together," he said.
The Stawell event will cater for all featuring the following family favourite movies, chosen with help by some of the locals:
- April 22 - Missing Link
- April 23 - Toy Story 4
- April 24 - The Emperor's New Groove
- April 25 - Red Dog
Tickets for adults are only $5 each, with all kids tickets under 17, free, when you book online.
Supported by Toyota, TAC, the EJ Whitten Foundation and Northern Grampians Shire Council, Cinema Pop Up will run for four nights only with limited tickets. Bookings are essential and only available online at CinemaPopup.com.au.
Gates will open at 5.30pm with movies to commence at approximately 6.15pm.
