VACCINE UPDATE
On evening of Thursday , April 8 the Australian Government announced changes to the vaccine rollout after Australian health authorities advised the Pfizer vaccine should be given to Australians aged under 50, amid concerns of rare blood clots potentially linked to the AstraZeneca vaccination.
Despite this challenge Stawell Regional Health are pressing on with their vaccination program of Pahse 1b residents and staff members.
On Wednesday, the health service had 80 community members booked in for a dose of the vaccine in the morning, with a number of staff also to given a dose in the afternoon.
Earlier in April Stawell Regional Health stated they had the capacity to vaccinate 80-100 individuals every week and will be doing so as their supply of the vaccines comes into town.
