The Northern Grampians Shire Vision 2041 project was announced on Australia Day at the Shire's Stawell community event, where Northern Grampians Shire Mayor Murray Emerson said the project will help create a series of unified goals for the region.
Cr Emerson said "the Shire Vision is the first time we are bringing our communities together and uniting as a shire to identify what our joint goals should be for the next 20 years".
"Involving community members in discussion about the challenges and constraints facing our region, helps us all plan a better future for Northern Grampians Shire.
"It is the first time we are looking so far into the future and looking for all of our communities together to let us know what challenges we need to overcome to make the shire a better place for people to visit, invest, work and stay.
"I encourage you to get involved, collaborate and contribute to make this the 'big picture' for us all."

The Shire Vision 2041 is a council initiative that will involve collecting community opinion from around the region to help shape the 2021-25 council plan and future council plans until 2041.
As part of the project, Northern Grampians Shire Council Mayor Murray Emerson and chief executive Liana Thompson will be visiting communities across the shire with community forums to be held to allow residents direct input in the long-term future plan for the region.
The township roadshow will provide community members with economic and population data about the region and ask them to identify what they value, what they want to keep, what they want to improve and what they want the region to look like in 2041.
The roadshow will be open and on display for three days in February as it travels between key townships in the region.
On Wednesday, February 10, the roadshow will be at the Glenorchy Memorial Community Hall from 9.30am to 11am, before moving to the Great Western Mechanics Institute from 12pm to 2pm, then to the Halls Gap Hub from 3pm to 5pm.
