On Tuesday, Minister for Disability, Ageing and Carers Luke Donnellan announced $30 million in funding to improve Victoria's public sector residential aged care services.
A spokesman for the minister confirmed the Stawell nursing home will receive $98,000 as part of this funding injection.
Chief executive Kate Pryde said the organisation would use the money to put solar panels on the facility, to save the health service $21,500 a year in electricity costs.

"This funding will be in addition to the $400,000 upgrade and refurbishment work to residents' rooms already planned for the coming year," she said.
"That has been made possible by a combination of prior grants received and from local community bequeaths and donations."
Extensive landscaping also forms part of the upgrades.
MacPherson Smith's manager Tina Joseph said the facility's residents were "keeping well and active with a wide variety of indoor activities" during the COVID-19 pandemic.
"They are looking forward to the cautious easing of restrictions on visitos they may want to receive," she said.
