STAWELL's Chalk Circle has participated in two world-wide festivals in 2020, amid a shut down of the arts industry due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Bev Issac and Peter Voice haven't escaped the turmoil many artists have faced during this period.
"On top of the Covid stress every one is under and had a terrible time personally, so it was a delightful challenge to help us keep working," Mr Voice said.
"These events have re-connected us with many people we have worked with around the world over the last 30 years and introduced us to so many new astounding artists. T
"They have helped us to cope and re-affirmed the value of art in ours and others' lives."
Mr Voice said the World Buskers United festival had a different performer every 15 minutes.
"As the timeline went around the world it became quite an outstanding event," he said.
"Our bit was using a 6 day time-lapse video complimented with real-time live crosses during the broadcast.
"With a 100 plus performers from 30 odd countries the festival recorded an average more than 30,000 viewers over the 24 hours."
Mr Voice said they artists were then asked by the Toulon Street Painting Festival in France and the Coloured Earth Festival in England to finish the project as a contribution to their joint on-line International Lock-Down Street Art Festival.
"I guess the trick is, if you can't do what you used to do, make up something new," he said.
"It's also a bit of fun to know there are people all over the planet that have now heard of Stawell, even if they don't know where we are.
"I had quite a few people ask us where we are - it's fantastic to be able to share our region around the world."
