The teams stopped at 13 ends for a rest with Stawell having a 10-shot lead.
Golf rallied after the break and worked back into the game to be only four shots down at the 21-end.
But that's when Stawell fired up and won most of the last few ends.
The team managed to jump out to a 21-shot victory.
Andrew Cray was the best for the Stawell side, finishing with a 12-shot win.
Dave Kaczynski was the best for Golf with a two-shot victory.
DIVISION 2
Stawell Gold played Stawell Blue at Stawell and a top match was on the cards. Angela Hodgetts played Rita Pyke.
With both being top skippers in the midweek side for Stawell, this was going to be a top match to watch.
In the end, it was the Gold side that got the points by just four shots.
Stawell president Graeme Carr came up against the flamboyant Terry Griffin, and on this occasion it was the Blue side who got the points by four shots to even up the match.
The last rink was going to decide the match and it was Ellen Werry for Gold up against Keith Mitchell.
The match was tight early and then Ellen got on top and played some great bowls to win the match 29-15.
Gold is through to the grand final to have another crack at Lake Bolac Black next week.
