A 37-year-old Stawell man will face court after he was found to be nearly three times over the legal blood alcohol limit while driving through Ararat at the weekend.
Ararat police were conducting random breath testing very early Saturday morning along Ararat's High Street when they intercepted the east-bound driver about 1.30am.
Police then administered the breath test, which produced a blood alcohol reading of 0.127 per cent.
Sergeant Shane Allgood, of Ararat, said the man's car was impounded, and he will also receive a summons to court.
