Pony Clubs all over Australia hosted special rallies to commemorate the 80th year of the Pony Club Movement in Australia.
Stawell Pony club's Viv Cole said the group were fortunate to present two Pony Club Australia Living Legends awards at the rally.
"Special Guests Clarrie and Angela King joined us on the day who both awarded the Pony Club Australia Living Legend Awards," she said.
"Clarrie King is a valued supporter and gifted instructor of the Midland Zone including instructor at Maryborough Pony Club and the founder, with wife Angela, of the Ararat District Pony Club.
"Clarrie has held the positions of Midland Zone President, Zone Representative, Zone Chief Instructor, and assistant writer of the B Certificate Notes."
Mrs Cole said the club has been well supported by both the horse enthusiasts despite their busy volunteer schedule.
"They are both life members of the Midland Zone and despite years dedicated to the sport can still be seen at the Stawell Agricultural Show year after year watching and cheering the kids on," she said.
"We congratulate Clarrie and Angela and thank them for their many years of voluntary service and dedication the Midland Zone of Pony Club Victoria."
The June rally was enjoyed by the members and visitors and supporters who watched on as another instructor and a life member of the Midland Zone Peggy Mills, who worked with the members on their show jumping.
"The morning was spent in a classroom setting learning the rules then moved onto SJ course building, and after lunch an afternoon of jumping equitation," Mrs Cole said.
"Our special celebration cake was made by past member Chantelle Barber.
"Thanks to everyone who helped to make this day a special celebration of this fantastic milestone."
