The Lake Goldsmith Goods Shed Museum at the Railway Station in Beaufort will be open on the Queen's Birthday long weekend, June 8 and 9.

The goods shed building was built in 1874 and is a wonderful example of building in that period.
The open weekend will showcase its vintage collectables and old railway memorabilia and especially for the weekend there will also be vintage tractors, dozers and steam engines on display, as well as a "People Mover", providing rides around the historic Beaufort town. Cost is $5 for adults and $2 for children.
During the course of the open weekend, there will be vintage movies showing in the old railway carriage.
Another special feature of the weekend will be some classic vintage cars that will join in the celebrations.
Entry into the museum is by gold coin donation.
"We plan on making this open weekend celebration an annual event," says event organiser Ron Harris.
