Police arrested and processed five minors for their alleged involvement with damage caused to one of Stawell Bowling Club's greens.

The five minors were charged with criminal damage and bailed to appear at Stawell Magistrates Court on May 21.
"They are around 14 years old so it's disappointing to see them make a poor decision such as this," Detective Senior Constable Gjalt Erkelens said.
The green was damaged in early March, with metal rink markers thrown onto the surface ripping it in more than 50 different areas.
Stawell Bowling Club president Andrew Sharp said the club will have to replace the green top.

"We looked at alternatives such as trying to patch it up but it looks like we will need a new green top," he said.
"We met with the insurance people last week and are just waiting on a report. To replace the top would cost in the vicinity of $127,000."
Mr Sharp said he is hopeful insurance will be able to cover the bulk of the expense, but the act of vandalism will still detrimentally impact the club.
"We have a $1000 excess we have to pay so one way or another we are at least $1000 out of pocket," he said.
"We have also been restricted to using just one green for the last several weeks.
"It's just a very frustrating position to be in from a small community organisation's perspective."
