On Saturday morning firefighters attended a small car fire at Concongella about 8am.
District 16 operations officer Ian Morley said the Country Fire Authority believed it may have been the result of a motor vehicle accident but there was no major damage.
At 1pm on the same day the Crowlands brigade investigated reports of a small fire on the Pyrenees Highway.
"They did find a small pile of sticks burning on the side of the road," Mr Morley said.
"The cause is undetermined - whether someone had a small campfire the previous evening or someone had set fire to a pile of sticks, it was quickly extinguished."
At 5pm Halls Gap crews attended a burn off in a backyard.
"The residents were advised of the fire danger period and it was extinguished," Mr Morley said.
"They were very compliant, understanding and apologetic."
Sunday morning at 3am crews were called to a car fire in Ararat, near the intersection of Albert and High streets.
"A car was involved in fire on arrival," Mr Morley said.
"It was quickly brought under control and there was extensive damage to the vehicle, parked in the driveway, to the front engine area."
Police deemed the fire not suspicious and crews were on scene for about an hour to mop up.
On Sunday afternoon at 1.15pm crews were notified of a small unattended campfire.
"Someone had camped the night before and not properly extinguished their fire," Mr Morley said.
"I'd like to reinforce the message that the Fire Danger Period is still in force.
"Burning permits for farmers to burn stubble will commence in the Rural City of Ararat this coming Monday March 25.
"Only fires in accordance with a written permit can be lit in the open until the Fire Danger Period ends, and we expect that to be around May 1, to be confirmed.
"We'd ask everybody to please check with the CFA website or their local brigade on what the rules are in relation to campfires or burning off if they intend to do so."
