Three competitors, from the Il Shim Taekwondo club Stawell, made the trip to Clarinda in Melbourne on March 2 for the ITF Victorian State Championships.
All competitors did their club proud.
Everyone who attended from the Il Shim Taekwondo Club, Stawell, showed enthusiasm, sportsmanship, courage and perseverance - not only that but all came home with a medal.
The results are a testament to the preparation and hard work leading up to the state tournament. All students have worked extremely hard in all training classes and the results showed.
Instructor Corinne Leahy puts in many hours of work and is very dedicated to each student.
Sparring, special techniques, and patterns make up the three events of the tournament.
Chris Sirre: gold for sparring and bronze for patterns.
Jack Sirre: silver for patterns, bronze for sparring.
Justin Sirre: silver for sparring.
This resulted in the Stawell club finishing sixth on the ladder out of all the clubs that attended.
It is a fantastic achievement for the club to finish in the top 10.
