Creek has been playing this season in America for Brooklyn's affiliated G-League team the Long Island Nets with the hope of earning an NBA contract.
Creek took to twitter to express his excitement and gratitude .
“Never let anyone tell you you can’t do anything - dream big, work hard and love the process,” Creek said.
“The work starts now. Huge love to all my fans, friends and anyone else whose supported me.”
The call-up coincides with an injury to the Nets star guard Spencer Dinwiddie, who aggravated ligaments in his thumb earlier this week and is expected to miss multiple games.
Creek is expected to be available for Brooklyn’s next match against cross-town rival the New York Knicks on Saturday morning.
