One person is dead after a fiery crash near Avoca on Thursday afternoon.

The single-car crash occurred about 3.30pm, when a single cab ute has left Homebush Road and struck a tree.
Homebush is about 10 kilometres north-west of Avoca.
The car caught fire and started a small blaze in the Avoca area.
An emergency warning was issued in the area, with six CFA units brought in to fight the blaze.
Nearby residents were warned smoke would be visible in the area, although they was never any danger posed by the fire.
The single occupant, who is yet to be identified, died at the scene.
The exact cause of the collision is still being investigated.
The crash brings the statewide road toll to 10, just one less than at the same time last year.
