Members and volunteers of the club have been busy preparing the Marnoo Cricket Ground and putting the final touches on the brand new pavilion, to be opened on the day.
Club president Jack McAllister said the venue is ready to welcome everyone.
"People have worked really hard, not only in recent times but in the last three and a half years to make this happen. It's going to be good to sit down and celebrate the achievement for the club," he said.
“The pavilion was the old football rooms and is now a modern fully renovated entertainment venue.”
“We’ve also re-sown the oval, put in a new pitch, white picket fence and planted trees.”
With improved facilities, the club has included a family fun day to coincide with the Twenty20 cricket match on the day.
"A $2500 prize is up for grabs so the cricket should be a great game to watch," he said.
"Great food, cold drinks, live music, jumping castle and even a visit from Santa is on the cards."
McAllister said the players are looking forward to taking on old rivalries Wycheproof-Naracoorte.
“They only have a B Grade team in our league (Wimmera Mallee Cricket Association),” he said.
“We always have a great time playing against them when they were in A Grade.
“We’ve had a bit of history with them and we are excited to welcome them to our ground for the day.
“I think they are bringing a busload over and from all reports, there is going to be a big crowd on the day.”
The day begins at 3pm with the first innings to get underway at 4pm.
A junior big bash session will be on display at 5.30pm.
The second innings commences at 6pm.
“We are encouraging everyone including past and present community members to join in the festivities this Saturday,” McAllister said.
