An advice warning was issued at about 5pm, with 11 CFA vehicles attending the fire on Delanys Gap Road, near the corner of Hall Road.
The fire was on a private property, reaching about 30 hectares in size before being brought under control.
“It was near the wind farm but not on it,” CFA district 16 operations officer Ian Morley said.
“There was no damage to any assets recorded.
“Two water bombing aircraft responded and dropped a load each on the fire.”
Mr Morley confirmed the cause of the fire was a lightning strike to a power pole that may have occurred during storms earlier in the week.
“The pole has been damaged and sparks from that incident may have taken some time before setting fire to the ground,” he said.
