About 4.40pm Monday Country Fire Authority crews attended a blaze toward the southern end of Stringy Bark Lane, off Ararat-Halls Gap Road.
The fire covered about .10 hectares and was attended by six Country Fire Authority vehicles, and one private vehicle.
Fire crews in attendance were from Halls Gap, Pomonal, Moyston, and Ararat.
The blaze was extinguished by 5.15pm.
A Country Fire Authority spokesman said the incident would be handed over to Forest Fire Management Victoria.
About 4pm the same day authorities were alerted to a blaze at Glenlogie off Cotty Creek Road.
The Country Fire Authority spokesman said that the blaze was inaccessible to crew and had to be handed over to Forest Fire Management Victoria crews, but that it was understood the blaze had started from a lightening strike.
The Country Fire Authority issued a warning to the community.
Sunday evening crews were alerted at 5.35pm of a haystack fire off the Glenelg Highway west of Westmere.
Crews from Mininera, Lake Bolac, Westmere and Willaura attended the blaze and it was brought under control by 7.30pm.
Police were on scene to monitor traffic.
The blaze was monitored overnight.
Forest Fire Management Victoria were unable to be contacted at the time of publication.
