In its 24th year, the event attracts the best burnout cars from across the south of Australia.
Mott walked away from the event with the $10,000 prize.
“It was a great feeling to win. I’ve only ever come second in some events before. To win was fantastic. It’s the biggest prize I have ever won,” she said.
“I’m not sure what I will spend the money on yet. I always said to my children if I ever win big I will buy you an Xbox – they were on to me straight away for that one.
“I am thinking, though, some of the winnings will be going straight back into the car for upgrades and changes.”
The only woman in her division, Mott said it was a great feeling to win in what is a male-dominated sport.
“It’s a real bonus to win a prize of significance like this right before Christmas,” she said.
Mott, who lives at Nyora, has been competing at events for six years.
“I go to comps to have fun. It’s a real family friendly atmosphere and everyone helps each other out,” she said.
“I’ve always been a bit of a rev head and always loved cars.
“My husband was going to drag race the car but I wanted to give burnouts a go. From then on I was hooked on it and loved it.”
Mott has owned her beloved car, a Holden Gemini, for about 10 years.

“It started off with a few different shades of colour and then we painted it up and it is what it is today,” she said.
“My husband prepares the car and my boys come and they help with tyres.”
Supernats event promoter Ahmet Sehirligil said it was a successful day.
“We had a really good turn out considering the event competed with horse racing and a rock concert we didn’t do too badly,” he said.
