Ruby Peters, Elise Monaghan and Paige Davies placed in the top four of their divisions to qualify for the event at the South West Regional Championships in Warrnambool.
Stawell Gymnastics coach Elissa Chalmers said she was delighted the trio qualified for the Victorian Championships.
“This is the first time in a couple of years we have had qualifiers make it through. It’s very exciting for our club. It’s inspiring for our juniors to watch and train with the girls and see what they can do and where they can go on a competitive level,” she said.
Chalmers said this would be the first time the gymnasts had competed at a state level.
“It will be a really good experience for the girls to not only compete but to be apart of a high level competition,” she said.
With only a few weeks left until competition, Chalmers said it would be training as usual for the girls.
“The girls will keep training and push that little bit harder and we will see how we go at the event,” she said.
Ruby Peters will compete in level five division two individual event for 11-year olds, Elise Monaghan in level five division two individual event for 13-year olds and over, and Paige Davies in level six division two individual event for 11-year olds.
The event is the highest level the gymnasts can compete in at their current level.
