The pub is hosting an “adults only” comedy night featuring infamous footballer Mark ‘Jacko’ Jackson, Carlton premiership player Peter Bosustow and green faces award winner and comedian Anne Ferguson-Howe.
The night is free to attend, commencing at 8.30pm.
“With no cover charge we hope to see plenty of people come down, enjoy the night and listen to what should be some pretty funny stuff,” Gift Hotel manager Matt Jones said.
Jackson and Bosustow have begun working regularly in public speaking capacities, sharing tales with communities from their travels in the VFL during the 1980s.
“We are really looking forward to Friday night,” Bosustow said.
“Going through my career with a couple of premierships I have plenty of stories to tell and Jacko is just a great speaker and is enthralling to listen to.
“Anne, the comedian, is also very, very good.”
Bosustow played in two premierships with the Blues in the ‘80s while Jackson is mostly known for his eccentricity on and off the football field.
