President Jason Oosthuizen said the club is working towards hosting a seven a side tournament.
The tournament will be a round robin event, highlighting teams from other regions.
“We have had interest in teams from Warrnambool, Hamilton and Horsham wanting to enter,” he said.
Oosthuizen said the club is planning to host the day, incorporating a market-like atmosphere to compliment the soccer.
“We understand soccer might not be for everyone. We are looking at options that will appeal to the whole community,” he said.
Food vans and market stalls are something the club is interested in getting at the event.
“We are also looking into the options to hold a family movie at the end, after the soccer,” Oosthuizen said.

Stawell residents may be able to get their first glimpse at a Stawell soccer team at the event.
“I’m not ruling it out, we just need to work around logistics and see how many helpers we get on the day,” he said.
Oosthuizen encouraged those who could spare some time on the day to put their hands up.
“We will be looking at hosting the day before the end of the year. It is a lot to organise, but I feel we can do it and it will be great for everyone in the town,” he said.
Oosthuizen said members of the committee and volunteers were still in discussions about a come-and-try session for the public.
“We are still working on what it will look like in terms of design. We will also be looking at dates that will suit,” he said.
