The university's Camperdown campus with its original Neo-Gothic sandstone Quadrangle and Great Tower buildings, its colleges and adjoining Victoria Park has been approved for listing on the NSW heritage register, the NSW government announced on Monday.
"This is truly a special place. It has shaped our city, it has shaped our state and it has shaped our nation," Heritage Minister Gabrielle Upton told reporters.
