The business originally made the decision in May to close down but with increased community support was able to remain open indefinitely.
With the boost in business eventually dying down and the announcement of a Video Ezy kiosk to open in Woolworths, the video store made the decision to shut down by the end of October this year.
“It is just the way of the world with streaming services now,” Network Video Stawell owner Kimberley Gehan said.
“We knew when we took the business over three years ago it would decline just not as quick as it did.
“It breaks our hearts to do it because we love it.”
Ms Gehan said everything in the store will be sold off, from DVDs, to video games, posters and even shelving and fixtures.
“It will be a big closing down sale. We will be getting rid of everything inside the building,” she said.
Ms Gehan said she still has two years left on a lease and will be looking to sub-let the building.
