With Noradjuha-Quantong and Swifts evenly matched going into the match, it was a tight contest early on.
Inaccuracy in front of goal in the first term hurt the home side, taking two more shots than the Baggies but trailing by three points at the first break.
The Bombers once again managed two goals to Swifts’ three in the second term to trail by 11 points at the main break.
“To their (Noradjuha-Quantong’s) credit, they played a strong brand of football which made us work hard in the first half,” Carey said.
“A bit of inaccuracy from them helped and we were able to make a few adjustments at half-time to get on top.
“We are fighting for the same sort of ladder positions so to come out and play the way we did was really promising.”
An eight-goal domination from Swifts in the third period blew the game apart, with live-wire forward Andrew Cameron booting all four of his goals for the match in the third term.
“The third quarter was classic ‘Camo’, marking absolutely everything,” Carey said.
“He has taken on a new role this year and understands he has to fill gaps of what the teams need. To see him get another bag is great.”
Swifts piled on another five goals to two in the last to run away with a crucial 19.9 (123) to 9.9 (63) victory.
Carey said it was pleasing to see his side get stronger as the game went on.
“We haven't really been able to take a game over just yet this season so to run over them in the third was great,” he said.
“Out of the centre we wanted to lock down and go man on man and be the first to move rather than reacting to what they were doing.”
Newly signed Zach Salmi was strong in attack for Swifts, booting five majors in his second game for the year while midfielder Ben Taylor kicked three majors in a best on ground performance.
“Zach played across half forward and changed on ball for us. It’s great to have a guy with that versatility,” Carey said.
“He is a massive in for us, his kicking is second to none.”
Jack Vague and Shane Oakley were the Bombers’ best.
The win sees Swifts hold on to sixth spot, six points clear of Laharum. The Bombers remain to eighth.
