The the AEC has identified Stawell as one of the key areas needing more temporary staff for the election period.
The AEC needs over 650 temporary workers across 97 polling places in the Mallee for the federal election.
The AEC commissioner Tom Rogers said there will be an election at some point in the next 12 months.
“We’re calling on people to register their interest for election work now so they can help their local community in the Mallee electorate as part of this unique event,” he said.
All temporary election roles are paid and full training is provided.
