The Magpies were strong from the outset, taking advantage of their scoring opportunities to come away with a four-goal lead after the first quarter.
The effort continued, as the home team extended the scoreboard advantage to seven at half-time and nine by the final change of ends for the game.
Magpies goal attack Amanda Clark was outstanding in goals, netting 39 of her sides 48 for the match, while Kelsey Perry impressed in goal defense.
Despite Carly Behncke’s notable 30-goal haul in goal shooter and Anastasia Walsh’s strength in the mid-court, the Bombers found it difficult to adapt to their line-up without regular goal attack Michayla McRae.
The loss sees them knocked off top-spot on the ladder only one week before the Bombers’ first game against second-placed Tatyoon in round eight, while the Magpies climb one place to seventh after the biggest upset of the season so far.
It was a dominant performance for the Magpies and will give them something to build the second half of the season on.
