Members Bernadette Matthews and Val Kennedy were presented with the honour in recognition of their hardwork and contribution to the society.
In presenting the awards, Orchid Societies Council of Victoria president Michael Coker said that it is the members who work behind the scenes that help make the Stawell Orchid Society one of the most successful clubs in Victoria.
Mr Cocker said that these two ladies are always very willing to help and have done so for many years.
Stawell Orchid Society president John Welsh thanked Bernadette and Val for their continued support.
He agreed with Mr Coker, saying that it is the members who make the club.
Mr Welsh said that the Stawell Orchid Society Inc. is indeed very lucky to have so many willing workers who put their hand up to do any of the jobs required to keep the club running smoothly and successfully.
Members will meet tonight for their monthly meeting.
Guest speaker is Craig Miles, of Ballarat, who will explain his methods for growing and flowering award-quality orchids, in a hot house environment.
The meeting will be held in the Stawell Orchid Society Inc meeting rooms, Laidlaw Park, Patrick Street, Stawell.
The meeting will commence at 7.30pm with popular vote.
All are welcome to attend.
