Only a total of 16 fish were caught as cold, wet and windy conditions turned the fish off the bite.
Darren Smith still had a successful weekend with seven redfin that aggregated 202.5 centimetres.
Doug Collins landed four redfin for a total length of 128 cm to finish in second place.
Daryl Kierl had not only took out the Armstrong Concrete award for the longest fish but also third place with a long brown trout of 53cm.
The next club run competition is to be held at Lake Fyans from 7am Saturday May 27 until noon Sunday May 28.
Weigh-in will be at the clubhouse at 12.15pm.
Angling will be on the radar for a wider section of the community this weekend with a kayak fishing competition set to be held at Lake Fyans across Saturday and Sunday.
“Anyone interest should come down and have a look,” organiser Neal Dowsett said.
