Teams across the region will be thankful for a weekend off after another wet and windy round at the weekend.

Leagues will break for their respective interleague matches or byes this weekend.

Saturday’s action saw plenty of tight contests with the wind playing havoc.

Stawell took on a desperate Horsham Saints outfit, with both Saints’ senior football and A Grade netball teams looking for their first win of the season.

The Rats made their longest trip of the season, taking on the Southern Mallee Giants at Beulah. The senior Rats suffered their first loss while the A Grade netball side continued its unbeaten run.

The Baggies farwelled Jake Goodes with a resounding 89-point win over Taylors Lake in the Horsham District Football League while their netballers continued their rise, recording their fourth win of the season.

Navarre recorded both football and netball wins while their was plenty of action in the Mininera league, with Great Western going down and the Pumas beating the Eagles in the wet.
