It was a slow start for both teams with neither squad scoring a goal in the opening quarter with the visitors taking a one-point advantage into the second term.
Both teams tried to jostle for the ascendency on the field with Redan the first team to manage a goal, extending its lead by six points at half time with the Storm still goalless.
A two-goal third quarter from the home team bridged the gap and gave them hope of running over the top of Redan on the scoreboard with the deficit at three points going into the final term.
A goal to both teams in the final term meant the Storm fell short at the final siren 3.1.19 to 3.4.22.
Chelsea Wilson, Emma Abraham and Lilly Dowling were the goal scorers for the home team while Samantha Koenen was named the Storm’s best on ground in the round two loss.
The Storm will host Carisbrook at Ararat’s Richardson Oval on Sunday.
