Coming off a 19-goal win over Caramut last weekend, the Lions hosted Hawkesdale-Macarthur.
The Lions took an early lead over the Eagles, going up by six goals at the first break and remaining four goals in front at half time.
Positional changes from the Eagles saw them go into the three-quarter-time break only one goal down.
A tight last quarter was narrowly won 13-12 by the Lions to get them a two-goal victory.
Great Western coach Amy Kindred said it was a special win for the club.

“We have never come close to beating them (Eagles) before,” she said.
“We went in with no expectations but knew we would go close if we played at our best which is exactly what happened.
“It means a lot for people at the club who have seen us struggle in the past.”
Goal shooter Dayle Bird was influential for the Lions, shooting 37 goals from 49 attempts.
Kindred said it was a hard fought victory.
“I was extremely exhausted – it was a very physical game,” she said.
“There was a lot of adrenaline and relief once we one.”
Despite claiming a memorable win, Kindred said her side has room to improve.
“When we got the ball from a turnover we got a bit excited and gave it back to them,” she said.
“We have a very new team so we are slowly adjusting to how each other plays and learning the little things about each other.”
